Irish singer CMAT has announced that her upcoming sold-out UK tour will be rescheduled due to an infected tooth.

The 29-year-old confirmed on Instagram that she required emergency dental surgery to remove both of her lower wisdom teeth after noticing a “throbbing pain” in her jaw.

The Euro-Country tour was due to begin in London on Thursday following the release of her third studio album in August,

CMAT, real name is Ciara Mary-Alice Thompson, was due to take to the stage at Glasgow’s iconic Barrowlands stage for three consecutive sold-out nights from October 8-10.

She took to Instagram to apologise to fans: “I realise that this will cause difficulties for so many of you who may have made plans to travel to these dates, and for this I can only say I am so so sorry.

“If there was anything I could do I would do it, but I currently can’t even open my mouth wide enough to laugh let alone sing.

“I also can’t even chew any food for the foreseeable so if anybody can send ice cream and or soup recommendations they would be hugely appreciated.”

CMAT stated her team is working hard to organise rescheduled dates and anyone who can not make the new date can contact their point of purchase for a refund.
