Some of the most famous items ever to appear on the small and silver screen are set to be sold at a blockbuster auction this November.

One of the world’s leading entertainment memorabilia auctioneers, Propstore, has announced its annual auction, with more than 1,800 rare and iconic lots up for grabs.

The unique Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction will take place over four days from November 14 to November 17, with the items expected to fetch over £10m.

The most sought after prop going under the hammer is a screen-matched Sandtrooper Helmet from the memorable Jedi mind trick scene in Star Wars: A New Hope, which is expected to be sold for between £250,000 and £500,000. This comes a year after a light-up C-3PO head from the same movie was sold for £687,500.

Other items on sale include handed-painted poster art from 1971 spy classic Diamonds Are forever, with an estimated worth of between £150,000 and £300,000, and an arena helmet and mask worn by Russell Crowe in Ridley Scott epic Gladiator, expected to go for between £100,000 and £200,000.

For fans who may not have an endless budget, there are a few cheaper items being auctioned including three Bruce Wayne Gucci Monogrammed Shirts from BATMAN V SUPERMAN: Dawn of Justice, worth between £750 and £1,500.

Stephen Lane, Founder and CEO of Propstore, commented on the upcoming auction: “Following our Entertainment Memorabilia Live Auction in Los Angeles this August where Indiana Jones’ hat achieved a record-breaking $630,000, we are delighted to announce our UK sale.

“This event will feature truly remarkable items from cinematic legends, including the exceptional Ray Harryhausen Collection, with lots from the animator’s private archive.

“Propstore’s auction will commence live at BAFTA 195 Piccadilly in London on Thursday November 14 and Friday November 15, with online-only sessions for days three and four on November 16 and 17.”
