Chart topping Scottish DJ’s LF system are hosting a secret gig in an “off-licence” – where you can only enter with a winning can of Tennent’s.
The ‘OOOFT Licence’ will open for one night only in a “secret central belt location” next Thursday, on November 21.
Entry to the gig can only be gained by exchanging of a can of Tennent’s to the brand’s visitor centre on Tuesday, or by tagging Tennent’s on social media between Monday 18 to Wednesday 20 to enter a competition – with winners selected at random and contacted with the secret location.
The venue, on a “main high street” will be designed to look like an off-licence – it’ll be filled with chillers of Tennent’s cans.
LF System, made up of Conor Larkman and Sean Finnigan from West Lothian, hit number one in the UK charts with their hit single ‘Afraid To Feel’, and will play an exclusive set, among other upcoming Scottish DJs.
They said: “A cold can of Tennent’s has been a huge part of our musical journey from the very beginning, as our choice of lager since we attended our first festival, so it feels fitting for us to get involved to help deliver the OOOFT Licence to Glasgow.”
Joanne Motion, senior brand manager at Tennent’s Lager said: “We all have a local off-licence we know and love, and now simply picking up a Tennent’s can deliver the best of Scottish beer and music in one can. Oooft.”
Venue details will only be revealed on receipt of a ticket.
The pop up venue is playfully named the OOOFT Licence in homage to the uniquely Scottish phrase adopted by the latest Tennent’s Lager campaign, launched in 2023.
The activity celebrates the term’s many uses, communicating everything from the opening notes of a cracking song, to questionable fashion choices, missed goals, scored goals or that first sip of a cold pint of Tennent’s.
