Pakistani playback singer Atif Aslam is set to take the stage in Glasgow next week for a sold-out show.
The voice behind some of Bollywood’s biggest hits, Aslam will perform at the city’s O2 Academy on June 8, with gates opening at 6.30pm.
The concert is part of his UK and Europe-wide tour, taking him through the Netherlands, Leeds and Birmingham before Glasgow and London.
Fans attending the sold-out gig can expect to hear some of his biggest hit including Pehli Nazar, Dil Diya Gallan, Tu Jaane Na, Woh Lamhe, and Aadat.
From Coke Studio Pakistan to Hollywood productions like The Reluctant Fundamentalist, Aslam’s more recent work shows a pivot away from Bollywood.
Speaking about the tour, the artist told Rolling Stone India: “I am super thrilled to be performing for my fans because performing live gives an artist an opportunity to connect with the energies of the audience.
“This tour is also extra special as I complete 20 years of my singing journey and what better way to celebrate it, with people who have given me so much love and admiration for all these years.
“2023 has been extremely special so far as my wife Sara and I also welcomed our baby girl.”
