Batgirl star Leslie Grace has penned a heartfelt tribute to Scotland as filming on the Hollywood blockbuster comes to an end.
Principal photography began in Glasgow in November, with parts of the city later transformed into Gotham for outdoor scenes.
During production, Grace (Barbara Gordon/Batgirl) was also joined by co-stars J.K. Simmons (commissioner James Gordon), Brendan Fraser (Firefly) and Michael Keaton (Bruce Wayne/Batman).
In an Instagram post, the 27-year-old actress thanked Scotland and said Glasgow was the “perfect city to create our Gotham”.
Sharing a range of pictures and videos, Grace said: “This is a ‘it’s our last week of shooting Batgirl and I’m getting emotional’ dump. Be prepared for more.
“But in advance – Scotland, thank you endlessly for welcoming us with open arms and gifting us the perfect city to create our Gotham.
“It’s not the end yet but I didn’t want to miss a moment to say thank you as I’m sitting here reflecting on all we’ve gotten to experience thanks to you.
“I will never forget my time here.”
Batgirl is scheduled to be released on HBO Max later this year.
