Young Fathers are set to headline their biggest Scottish show to date at their own specially curated day festival in Stirling.
The Edinburgh-based trio will be performing at Stirling City Park just months after their winning their third Scottish Album of Year award.
Joining them on their festival line-up will be alt-pop star Self Esteem who will be making her Stirling debut, American rapper, poet, activist, and producer Noname, and South African musician Petite Noir.
Young Fathers have been described as industry game-changers due to their unique live performances with fans set to enjoy another eye-popping show over the weekend.
Speaking after their latest Scottish Album of the Year award win, the band said the Scottish music scene is a source of inspiration and gave a shout out to the infamous crowds.
Alloysious Massaquoi said: “We did two shows at the Barras and I think the Scottish crowd is one of the best – it’s always nice to come to these places because it feels very homely!
“Watching the young folk coming up there – it’s inspiring. I don’t think the guys and I will ever lose that – we look at stuff right across the board. There’s a lot of room for inspiration here and we gain a lot of inspiration right across the board.”
Stirling’s historic castle will form a backdrop for the show at Stirling Park which will also host Shania Twain and Tom Jones as part of the city’s Summer Sessions.
Young Fathers will play at Stirling City Park on Saturday June 29. Tickets on sale now via www.gigsinscotland.com.
