Woman missing since Friday night ‘may be wearing pink jacket’ as police launch appeal to trace her Police Scotland

Police are appealing to the public to trace a woman who has been missing from Edinburgh since Friday night.

Averil Shepley was last seen in the Marchmont area in the south side of the capital at around 10.30pm on Friday, September 30.

The 47-year-old is described as white, of slight build, and between 5ft 6in and 5ft 8in.

She has short dark brown hair with white streaks throughout and blue eyes.

When she was last seen she was wearing a black woolly hat with toggles on each side and black trousers.

Police say that she may be wearing a bright pink Goretex jacket and be in possession of a black and red rucksack.

Anyone who may have seen her since September 30, or has information on her whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0090 of October 1, 2022.
