A woman is in a serious condition in hospital after being struck by an SUV in a village in Fife.
Emergency services were called to Main Street in Torryburn, near Dunfermline, around 4.10pm on Friday afternoon following reports of a collision involving a female pedestrian and a blue Suzuki Vitara.
The 55-year-old woman was taken to hospital, where her condition is described as serious.
Police said enquries to trace the occupants of the SUV are continuing.
Sergeant Lee Walkingshaw said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash, who has not yet spoken to officers, to contact us.
“We’d also ask anyone with dash-cam footage which could assist our enquiries to come forward.”
