Witness appeal as masked gang break into beauty salon after shop raid Police Scotland

Police are appealing for witnesses after a gang of masked man broke into a beauty salon three days after a shop was targeted in West Lothian.

Items were stolen from the November Collective Salon and Day to Day store which are both situated at the Bankton Centre in the Murieston area of Livingston.

Five masked men broke into the salon in the early hours of Saturday and stole a number of items before driving off on a red quad bike and black MG HS SUV.

The same SUV was involved in a break-in and theft at the shop on Wednesday.

The five suspects are all described as white males, in their 20s, of medium build and were wearing dark clothing with hoods up and faces covered with scarves or masks.

Detective Constable Lynn Myles, of Livingston CID, said: “Enquiries into the incidents are ongoing and I would urge anyone who has information or who may live in the area and heard or saw anything suspicious to contact police immediately.

“Likewise, if anyone was in the area and has dash-cam footage, I would encourage you to check your footage for anything of relevance.

“I would also ask anyone who witnessed a group of men matching the description or either of the vehicles to get in touch.

“Finally, if anyone comes across the sale of hair products and alcohol in the area, which was stolen during the incidents, then please contact officers.”
