A walker has been injured after falling from Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh.

The Scottish Ambulance Service, Mountain Rescue, Holyrood Park Rangers and police were called to the popular tourist spot on Wednesday following reports of an incident.

The walker was then extracted from the hillside with the help of specialist equipment.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “NEST responded to a walker who had fallen and sustained a leg injury on Arthur’s Seat, conducting a search operation to find them alongside multi-agency partners from Scottish Ambulance Service, Mountain Rescue and Holyrood Park Rangers.

“They thereafter helped with the walkers extraction from the hillside using specialist equipment, while coordinating the response.”
