A deliberate vehicle fire in Edinburgh is the latest incident to be linked to an ongoing gang war which has spread across Scotland’s two largest cities.
Emergency services were called to Pitcairn Grove in the capital at around 7.45pm following reports of a vehicle on fire.
The blaze was extinguished, and no injuries were reported.
The incident is being treated as wilful and is believed to be linked to an ongoing criminal feud which began in March.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 7.45pm on Thursday, May 8, 2025, we were called to a report of a vehicle fire on Pitcairn Grove in Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended, the fire was extinguished and there were no reports of injuries.
“The fire is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing.”
