Fife Jammer LocationsPolice are investigating after a stone was thrown through a bus window, forcing the driver and passengers to evacuate.
The number 19, operated by Stagecoach, was making its way along Dunlin Drive in Dunfermline when the incident occurred at around 8.10pm on Tuesday.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, but passengers and the driver were forced to get off the bus and use a replacement service.
The “dangerous vandalism” has been reported to Police Scotland, which is now investigating the incident.
A spokesperson for Stagecoach East Scotland said: “On Tuesday evening, one of our buses operating on service 19 on Dunlin Drive in Dunfermline was damaged after a stone was thrown at the window.
“Fortunately, no injuries were reported to the driver and everyone was escorted off the bus safely with a replacement vehicle available to continue their onward journeys. We have reported this dangerous vandalism to Police Scotland and will assist in any subsequent investigation as required.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Officers received a report of damage to a bus window, which happened around 8.10pm on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
“Enquiries are at an early stage.”
