A man was taken to hospital after a crash closed the M8 in both directions.
Emergency services were called to the motorway near junction two, Newbridge, at around 5.10pm on Saturday following a single vehicle crash.
A driver of a van, a man, was taken to hospital for treatment. His current condition is unknown at this stage.
The road reopened at around 6.10pm but one lane is still closed, Traffic Scotland said.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.10pm on Saturday, November 4, 2023, we were made aware of a single vehicle crash on the M8 westbound near junction 2, Newbridge.
“Emergency services attended and the male driver of the van was taken to hospital.
“The road reopened around 6.10pm.”
