Van driver in hospital with 'serious injuries' after crash at industrial estate

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a van at an industrial estate near Broxburn.

Emergency services were called around 2.20pm on Friday to a crash involving a van at a premises on Greendykes Industrial Estate.

The driver, a 62-year-old man, was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment of what are described as serious injuries.

There were no reports of any other injuries.

Sergeant Mike Thomson said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I would ask anyone who witnessed the incident and hasn’t already spoken to us to contact us.

“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time and who may have dash cam or private CCTV footage which could assist to get in touch.”
