Increased security has been put in place after urban explorers entered a closed-off wing at a hospital in Edinburgh.
A video posted on social media by escapade__z, who has explored a number of abandoned sites in Scotland, showed viewers inside Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital.
Footage shows a number of empty rooms and hallways at the former department of Clinical Neurosciences.
The eerie videos show a former operating room, wards and offices covered in debris.
The department was relocated to a brand-new facility at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, while its former home at Western General Hospital is awaiting demolition.
The demolition is part of enabling works for the reprovision of cancer services, but funding has been paused.
The health board said no patients are treated in or around the building shown in the footage, and all instances of unauthorised entry will be reported to Police Scotland.

Increased security has been put in place on the site.
Chris Stirling, site director at Western General Hospital said: “The Department of Clinical Neurosciences (DCN) was relocated to a brand-new facility at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and the former DCN department on the Western’s site now awaits demolition as part of enabling works for the reprovision of cancer services.
“However, funding for this has been paused, and NHS Lothian is in discussions with the Scottish Government regarding progressing with demolition in the interim.
“No patients are treated in or around the building shown in the footage.
“All instances of unauthorised entry will be reported to the police, and increased security is in place on site.”
