An investigation is under way after a group of ultras invaded a pitch and confronted away support during a Scottish Cup clash.
Camelon Juniors hosted League Two side Elgin City at Carmuirs Park in Falkirk for a Scottish Cup fourth-round tie.
The black and whites made it into the next round with a 3-1 win after a Kane Hester double.
Following the match a group of youths made their way onto the pitch and walked towards the travelling support. A video seen by STV News shows the fans continue to goad the away end before grabbing a flag.
Elgin City thanked their fans for showing “restraint and composure” following the incident.
A post on social media read: “We would like to thank you all for showing restraint and composure at the end of the game when placed in a compromising position
“If the owners of the flag that was ripped from display would make contact with the club, we will make arrangements to cover the cost of a replacement.”
Camelon Juniors confirmed that individuals involved have been identified and that they will be “issuing bans to those responsible”.
They said: “Such behaviour does not reflect the values of Camelon Juniors FC and will not be tolerated.
We would like to extend our sincere apologies to our friends at Elgin for the actions of a small minority of individuals.
“The club will be contacting Elgin directly to apologise and to arrange full reimbursement for the flags taken from Elgin supporters.
“Camelon Juniors FC remains committed to promoting a safe, respectful environment for players, officials, supporters, and visiting clubs, and we will continue to take firm action to uphold these standards.”
Police Scotland has been made aware of the disturbance and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.30pm on Saturday, January 17, 2026, we were made aware of a group of people causing a disturbance following a football match in the Fairlie Drive area of Falkirk.
“There were no reported injuries. Enquiries are ongoing.”
