A driver and their passenger were taken to hospital after the car they were in flipped onto its roof.

Emergency services were called to the crash on the B915 at Balmule in Fife at around 10.50pm on Friday.

The vehicle’s occupants were taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy while the road was closed near the M90 Commerce park at Wellwood.

Shortly before 2am on Saturday, the B915 was reopened after the overturned car had been recovered.

Police said there were no serious injuries and the driver and passenger were taken to hospital as a precaution.
