Two swans have been killed after being attacked by a dog in a country park.
Police Scotland launched an investigation into the incident that took place at John Muir Country Park in Dunbar, East Lothian, on Monday morning.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Police said they were at the early stages of their enquiries and are trying to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We are carrying out enquiries following a report of a dog attacking and killing two swans in John Muir Country Park in Dunbar, which occurred around 9.30am on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
“Enquiries are at an early stage to establish the full circumstances and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0949 of Tuesday, October 10, 2023.”
