Two people were treated by ambulance crews after firefighters battled a blaze in the first floor of a flat off Leith Walk in Edinburgh.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said four appliances and one height appliance were sent to the scene of a five-storey building on Albert Street.
Crews were alerted at around 1.30pm and two casualties were taken into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
They were treated and discharged at the scene.
The Scottish Ambulance Service: “We received a call at 2.20pm today to attend an incident on Albert Street in Edinburgh, with our first resource arriving on scene within five minutes.
“We dispatched our special operations team at the scene.
“We treated and discharged two patients at the scene.”
Police Scotland assisted emergency service partners with traffic management at the scene.
