Police are hunting two men who fled the scene as a six-figure sum of drugs were seized from a car in Fife.

Officers searched a black Vauxhall Insignia during a routine stop on Strathkinnes Road, Kirkcaldy, on Tuesday afternoon.

An amount of cannabis worth an estimated £150,000 was recovered during the incident, which happened around 12.30pm.

Enquiries are now ongoing to identify the vehicle’s occupants who escaped.

Both men are described as being in their mid 20s to mid 30s and of Eastern European descent.

One was wearing all black and the other was wearing a grey top with a high visibility vest over the top.

Detective inspector Scott Davidson said: “This was a significant recovery and our enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible.”
