Two charged after teen who fell from railway station roof electrocuted

Two people have been charged after a teenager was electrocuted by overhead power lines following a fall from the roof of a railway station.

The 16-year-old was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after falling from height at Edinburgh’s Waverley Station on May 8.

Detectives from the British Transport Police (BTP) who investigated the incident confirmed on Monday that an 18-year-old woman and 20-year-old man have now been charged in connection to the incident with culpable and reckless conduct.

The force added that a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
