Two arrested and man airlifted to hospital after 'stabbing' near school

An air ambulance flew a 36-year-old man to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow after the incident in Larbert.

Two people have been arrested after a man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following an alleged stabbing near a school in Larbert.

Police were called to Paton Drive near Kinnaird Primary at around 6.45pm on Saturday after reports of an ongoing assault.

An air ambulance was dispatched and a 36-year-old man was flown to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

Two men, a 21-year-old and a 22-year-old, have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police said enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.45pm on Saturday, 25 June, officers were called to a report an assault ongoing within an address at Paton Drive, Larbert.

“Emergency services attended, including the air ambulance, and a 36-year-old man was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where medical staff describe his condition as serious, but stable.

“Two men, aged 21 and 22, have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries continue.”
