Two arrested after man struck by car in 'murder bid' at shopping centre

Two arrests have been made after a man was struck by a car in an alleged attempted murder outside a shopping centre in Edinburgh.

The 45-year-old was left with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Westside Plaza in Wester Hailes on Thursday.

He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.

Police have now confirmed two 28-year-old men have now been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

They are both due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

A spokesperson added: “A report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.”
