Two people have appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a man was found injured in Livingston.
A 43-year-old man was taken to hospital after being discovered with serious injuries at Clement Rise on Sunday, July 7.
Amanda Boyle, 44, and David Grant, 48, appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Boyle, from Livingston, made no plea in response to a single charge of assault to severe injury and attempted murder.
She was released on bail with a further court date to be confirmed.
Grant faced the same charge as well as charges of being in possession of an offensive weapon and failing to comply with bail conditions.
The 48-year-old from Livingston made no plea and was remanded in custody pending a further court appearance in the next eight days.
