Tributes paid to 'true gent' with 'heart of gold' who died in A91 crash

Tributes have been paid to a man who died after being struck by a car carrying a four-month-old baby in Fife.

The man, who has been named locally as 42-year-old Paul Little from Buckhaven was pronounced dead at the scene following the crash on the A91 at the Old Guardbridge in St Andrews.

The collision occurred with a car driven by a 68-year-old woman with a 39-year-old woman and a four-month-old baby as passengers at around 7.15pm on Thursday December 8.

None of the occupants from the car required medical treatment.

The road was closed for several hours while investigations were carried out at the scene and police are now calling for witnesses to come forward.

Alex Little Funeral Directors announced on Facebook: “It is with heavy hearts that the family announce that Paul aged 42 has passed away very suddenly following a road traffic accident on Thursday December 8 2022. 

“The family appreciate the messages of concern and sympathy but ask that you allow them  some privacy to grieve at this difficult time. Funeral details will follow in due course.”

Dozens of tributes poured in on Facebook for Mr Little following the announcement.

One person wrote: “R.i.P Paul you were one in million heart of gold.”

Another added: “Paul was a lovely guy and so many great memories as children. Fly high Paul.”

Another tribute read: “So sorry to hear mate, didn’t know Paul that well but when he passed my door going from Buckhaven to Methil he never once passed without saying hello. A true gent.”

Dozens of others sent messages of condolence to Mr Little’s family.
