Tributes have been paid locally to a mother-of-two who died after a three-car crash in Fife.
Emergency services were called to the A92, near the Luthrie junction north of Cupar, at around 1am on Sunday, after a crash involving a white Audi A3, a grey Volvo V40, and a white Honda HRV.
The passenger of the Audi, a 24-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene.
She has been named locally as Aisha Kempson.
Aisha’s sister, Gray Allan, described her as the “best sister, best friend, and best mother” in a tribute on social media.
“I cannot believe I’m writing this”, she wrote. “Today we lost my beautiful sister.
“She was involved in a car crash. Words cannot describe how I feel and how lost I am without you, Aisha. It’s not even been 24 hours, and I’m already wondering how I’m gonna live life without you.
“You were the best big sister, my best friend. You were the best mother as well; you were there through everything.”
Samantha Wyatt also paid tribute to her niece, describing her as one of the most “beautiful, caring souls”.
She wrote: “As most of you already know, we sadly got the devastating news that my niece was killed in a car accident on Sunday morning.
“Devastated is an understatement. I can’t even write this properly. I’m pretty much on autopilot right now. Aisha, you were one of the most beautiful, caring souls and the best mum to your two beautiful kids.
“The bestest sister, and even tho lia was your cousin, she always called you Auntie Eesha. My brain is not even ready to accept that you’re really gone. You will be sorely missed by us all. We love you forever and a day. Rest in peace.”
Police are continuing to carry out enquiries into the crash and have asked for any witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant William Low said: “We are carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this crash, and we are appealing to any witnesses to come forward.
“Anyone who was driving around the time of the incident, and anyone with relevant dash-cam footage which may assist is asked to contact police.”
Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0216 of October 4.
