A part of the M8 motorway has been closed near Bathgate after a serious crash.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on the westbound carriageway of the M8, between junctions 3A and 4, at around 3.55pm on Sunday afternoon.
Lane one remains closed to all traffic.
It is unknown at this stage of there are any fatalities.
Traffic Scotland said: “All traffic was held briefly.
“Lane 2 has reopened, lane 1 is now closed with all emergency services on scene.
“Traffic is queuing for around 2.5miles on approach.”
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
