Three suspects arrested after man seriously assaulted on street 

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the serious assault of a man in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called to Ardshiel Avenue following reports of an attack at around 8am on Thursday.

A 42-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

Officers have arrested three men, aged 32, 34 and 60, in connection. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8am on Thursday, June 25, 2026, we were called to a report of a serious assault on Ardshiel Avenue in Edinburgh. 

“Emergency services attended, and a 42-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. 

“Three men, aged 32, 34 and 60, have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
