A third walker has been rescued after falling from a height on the West Highland Way within a week.
Loch Lomond Rescue Boat was called to reports of an injured male walker near Island I Vow on the east side of Loch Lomond around 5.45pm on Saturday.
The rescue boat was able to reach the location and treat the casualty, who was transferred to Inveruglus and handed over to a waiting ambulance.
The incident comes after two other walkers were rescued after falling in the same area last week.
The rescue boat was called out to the same location on July 22 after two people fell and landed on rocks.
Due to their location, Arrochar Mountain Rescue Team also had to be called in to extract the injured walkers.
The West Highland Way is stretches 96 miles from Milngavie in East Dunbartonshire to Fort William in the Highlands and is popular with hikers.
Earlier this year, a number of walkers hiking along the route fell ill with sickness and diarrhoea after drinking from rivers.
Nine of those who reported being ill all drank water from the rivers near Balmaha despite filtering it.
Three of those drank from The Burn of Mar at the back of Conic Hill, and rangers warned that there is a livestock upstream in the region.
