Three teenage boys have been charged in connection with a major fire which broke out at the scene of a £1m drugs bust in Fife.

Emergency services were alerted to the fire at the former WHSmith building on High Street, Kirkcaldy at around 7.25pm on Tuesday, August 16.

The building has been identified locally as the scene of a £1m cannabis bust earlier this year.

The blaze burned for nine hours before it was extinguished by fire crews and no injuries were reported.

Police confirmed on Thursday that three male teenagers, all aged 13, have been charged in connection with the incident.
