A teenager has been traced following an early morning car blaze in Fife.

Emergency services were called to the B941 between Kilconquar and Largoward at around 1.10am on Thursday following reports of a car fire.

After the flames were extinguished, concerns were raised after no occupants were found within or near to the car.

Police launched a search for a 17-year-old male afterwards who was thought to be the driver.

On Friday, officers confirmed he was found safe and well.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing following a one-car crash on the B941 between Kilconquar and Largoward that happened around 1.10am on Thursday, July 24.”
