A teenager has been charged after a schoolgirl’s head was allegedly kicked and stamped on in a West Lothian park.

A 13-year-old girl was taken to hospital following the incident in Addiewell on April 13 which resulted in her suffering a severe concussion.

Officers have charged a 17-year-old female in connection with the attack more than a month on.

A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 17-year-old female has been charged in connection with an assault in the Addiewell area, which took place on Monday, April 13, 2026. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
