A teenager has been charged in connection with a series of car thefts and attempted car thefts throughout West Lothian.

The incidents took place in West Calder, Whitburn, Edinburgh, Falkirk and Harthill between Wednesday, April 9, and Thursday, May 8.

Officers have charged an 18-year-old man in connection with the thefts. He is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Wednesday, June 11.

Detective Sergeant John Irvine, from West Calder Police Station, said: “We’d like to thank the public for their assistance with our enquiries.”
