A 17-year-old girl has been raped on the grounds of a church in Edinburgh.
Police are investigating after the teenager was attacked in the early hours of the morning at South Leith Parish Church on the capital’s Constitution Street.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received the report of a serious sexual assault on a 17-year-old girl around 1am on Thursday, 22 October, 2020 in the grounds of a church in the Leith area of Edinburgh.
“Enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the full circumstance(s) surrounding the incident.”
