A teenage girl has been charged with assault after emergency services were called to a train station on Sunday.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Cowdenbeath rail station at around 8.45pm on November 17 following reports of an attack.

A 15-year-old girl was arrested and charged in connection with the incident by officers. Police Scotland charged another female youth and two male youths in connection with a separate incident.

They are due to be reported to the relevant authorities.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.

“We were called to Cowdenbeath station at 8.45pm Sunday, November 17, following reports of an assault,” a spokesperson for the British Transport Police said.

“Officers attended and a 15-year-old girl was arrested and later charged with assault.

“Enquiries are ongoing.

“A number of further arrests were made by Police Scotland.”
