An urgent search for a teenager was launched almost two weeks after their disappearance in Edinburgh.

Adeddamola Adebayo was last seen on Old Dalkeith Road in the city on Monday, June 9.

Police confirmed on Wednesday evening that the 16-year-old had been traced.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We can confirm Adeddamola Adebayo who was reported missing from Edinburgh has now been traced.

“Thanks to everyone that shared our appeal.”
