A teenager has been charged over a bail breach after emergency services were called to a river in Fife.

Police were alerted to reports of concern for a person on the A955 near the River Leven around 6.45pm on Tuesday evening.

A 17-year-old girl was subsequently arrested and charged over breaching bail conditions.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.45pm on Tuesday, 16 September, 2025, officers were called to a report of concern for a person on the A955 near the River Leven.

“A 17-year-old female was traced and subsequently arrested and charged in connection with breach of bail conditions.”
