Teen charged after woman, 94, struck by electric motorbike in FifeFife Jammer Locations

A teenager has been charged after a 94-year-old woman was struck by an electric motorbike in Fife on Monday.

Emergency services were called to Lochleven Road in  Lochore following reports of a collision involving a black Surron motorcycle and a pedestrian at around 2.15pm.

A 94-year-old woman, the pedestrian, was taken to Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment to serious injuries.

A 17-year-old male, the motorcyclist, was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The road was closed for around an hour as an investigation was carried out at the scene.

The teenager has been arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences.

He is due to appear in court at a later date, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Sergeant Tom Aitken said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash and not yet spoken to police to contact us.

“We are also appealing to anyone driving in the area at the time with dashcam footage to come forward.”
