Kindhearted walkers clad in tartan turned out in force in Edinburgh on Sunday for the annual Kiltwalk event.
The charity challenge sees walkers sign up for three different distance challenges while taking in the sights of the capital.
Over 9,000 people took part in Sunday’s event in support of more than 800 Scottish charities.
Sir Tom Hunter, who’s Hunter Foundation supports the event, told STV News: “It’s going to be a record-breaking fundraiser.
“I think in every part of Scotland, there’s a community that needs a wee help but there’s also people in every part of Scotland who are willing to help. The Kiltwalk simply put them together and that’s where the magic happens.”
Those taking on the Mighty Stride challenge left from Holyrood Park on a 20 mile route around the city, which would eventually take them to Murrayfield.
Meanwhile others took part in the Big Stroll, which stretches for around 11 miles, while the Wee Wander spans five miles.
The Kiltwalk raised more than £5m for Scottish charities last year.
Sir Tom added that anyone inspired to take on the challenge next year should do so to help mark the event’s tenth anniversary.
He said: “2025 Kiltwalk will be very special for us, it will be our tenth year involved with the Kiltwalk and its going to be a magic year. We’re going to break every record there ever has been on the Kiltwalk, so please, if you know a charity or even an individual who needs a wee bit of help, get on a bit of tartan, get your trainers on, do a wee walk and thank you so much for your Kiltwalk kindness.”
