STV NewsA suspect has been charged in connection with the death of a man on Princes Street in Edinburgh last year.
Emergency services were called to the capital’s main shopping street – outside the Uniqlo store – after an unresponsive man was found at around 6am on June 25, 2025.
The 50-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers have now charged a 36-year-old man in connection with the incident and he is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Thursday.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
