Man charged in connection with beach assault two months on

A 34-year-old man is due to appear in court at a later date in connection with the assault at Portobello Promenade.

A suspect has been charged in connection with an assault near a beach in Edinburgh. 

The incident occurred on Friday March 17 at Portobello Promenade. 

On Sunday, police confirmed a 34-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear in court at a later date. 

Constable Erin Millar said: “We would like to thank the public for their assistance with our enquiries, following our earlier appeal.”
