Adobe StockA suspect has been arrested and charged after two men were assaulted on a bridge in Edinburgh.
A 42-year-old man was seriously assaulted on the South Bridge near its junction with High Street on August 1 at around 2.10am.
He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
Another man was assaulted on the same street, with enquiries continuing to trace the victim of that assault.
A 33-year-old man has been charged with serious assault and assault.
He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
