A man who was arrested in connection with a “shooting” in Edinburgh has been released as investigations continue.
Armed police were called to the Hailesland Gardens area following reports of a firearm being discharged around 3.40pm on Thursday.
A 23-year-old man attended hospital for treatment to serious injuries sustained to his arm in the incident.
No other injuries were reported.
Officers, including armed police, descended on the scene and searches of the area were carried out.
A 36-year-old man was arrested in connection. He has since been released as investigations continue.
The public has been told to expect a continued police presence in the area.
