STV NewsA suspect has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a man found seriously injured in an Edinburgh home.
Emergency services were called to a property on Wardlaw Street at around 2.40pm on Wednesday, following reports that a 50-year-old man was injured.
He was taken to hospital for treatment, where his condition is described as serious but not critical.
A 39-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
Bartosz Chrapusta appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday, charged with assault to severe injury, per disfigurement, impairment, danger to life and attempted murder.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody to appear in court again within eight days.
