Suspect in court charged with murder of man found dead in home

Elvis Palla was pronounced dead at a home on Watson Crescent in Edinburgh on Saturday morning.

A suspect has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man found dead at a property in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called to a property on Watson Crescent in the capital following reports of an incident at around 6.10am.

Medical crews pronounced a 34-year-old man dead at the scene.

He has since been named as Elvis Palla.

A 34-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the disturbance.

On Monday, Christos Nikiforidis appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court, charged with Mr Palla’s murder.

He made no plea and was remanded in custody. He will appear before the court again on Tuesday.
