Fire crews are at the scene of a fire at a popular tourist pub in Edinburgh.
They were called to reports of burning smells and smoke at the Royal Mile Tavern on Thursday, at around 12.48pm.
Nine fire trucks were dispatched, and they remain at the scene working to extinguish the fire.
It is currently unknown if anyone has been injured.
Videos from the scene show plumes of white smoke billowing from the pub, alongside a large group of firefighters standing outside.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 12.48pm on Thursday, February 9, to reports of a smell of burning and smoke coming from a commercial building at High Street, Edinburgh.
“Operations Control have mobilised nine appliances to the scene and crews remain in attendance working to extinguish the fire.”
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
