Sir Sean Connery’s son invests £1m in Lost Shore Surf Resort in Edinburgh

The son of late actor Sean Connery has invested £1m into Scotland’s first inland surf resort in Edinburgh.

Jason Connery said the Lost Shore Surf Resort brings something “truly special” to Scotland.

The multi-million resort opened its doors in November equipped with a wave pool described as the “largest and most advanced” in Europe.

The pool has a 250-metre beachfront and generates up to 1,000 waves per hour.

The resort, founded by Andy Hadden, also hosts accommodation, restaurants, and a surf school as well as wellness treatments and sauna facilities.

Mr Connery, who co-owns First Stage Studios in Leith, said the resort offers incredible opportunities not only for sport and recreation but also for the local economy.

“Andy Hadden’s vision for the resort is inspiring, and I am pleased to support a business that aligns with my passion for Scottish enterprise, sport, and culture,” he said.

Mr Hadden welcomed the investment, saying the funds will help take the resort to the “next level”.
