Windows smashed and whisky bottles stolen during break-in

A ‘significant’ number of whisky bottles have been stolen following a break-in at a business in Hawick.

A suspect smashed windows to gain entry to a business premises on Commercial Road at around 3am on Sunday.

Police say a ‘significant’ number of whisky bottles were taken from within.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
