A motorcyclist and his passenger are in hospital with serious injuries following a crash with a car in Perthshire. 

Around 6.20pm on Monday, June 12, a collision occurred between a silver Toyota Rav 4 and Honda Crossover motorcycle on the A9 Dunkeld near the A822.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 59-year-old man, and pillion passenger, a 54-year-old woman, were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee with serious injuries. 

The driver and passenger of the car were not injured.

The road was closed while crash investigations were carried out and fully reopened around 8.10pm the same evening.

Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of the crash and witnesses are urged to come forward.

Sergeant Brian McEwen said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of this crash.

“I would urge anyone who may have seen the vehicles involved prior to the incident, or who has any dash-cam footage, to come forward.”
