Concern is growing over the welfare of a 13-year-old girl who has been missing overnight in Edinburgh.
Caitlin Doherty was last seen in the Downie Terrace area of Corstorphine at around 4pm on Monday.
Police are now appealing for the public’s help in a bid to trace her as they ask anyone with any information on her whereabouts to come forward.
The teenager is described as being around 5ft2, with shoulder length brown and red hair and pierced ears.
When last seen she was wearing black jogging bottoms, black crop top, black hooded top and white trainers.
Inspector Scott Casey, Corstorphine Police Station, said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Caitlin. This is an extremely worrying time for her family and friends.
“Officers are carrying out extensive searches and reviewing CCTV in an effort to trace her but there have been no confirmed sightings of her.
“I would urge anyone who has any information on Caitlin whereabouts or who has had contact with her to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting 2159 of Monday, June 27, 2022.”
